I'll ask you something have you ever noticed your white stones show up anywhere besides your pot...as i had some but like white marbels and the magpies kept pinching them or they would fling them, mainly the young ones :)

Hi Gail. some of the quartz pebbles do get "move" but I use quite large ones so only the smaller ones get thrown out of the pot. Magpies never get a chance to settle as the Cats don't abide them and they're not allowed in the gardens. I think it's probably the Blackbirds that are the culprits as they're the Bosses of the garden.:heehee:

:nonofinger::nonofinger::nonofinger: definitely Magpies and their young are a nightmare...we have black birds in the conifers and in the morning i sit by the kitchen window and i watch the bird activity and anything white or black gets either pecked at or removed...i throwed mine in the end as i was fed up with keep replacing them :snorky:

I'd planted the green container with a mixture of colours in 3 layers and the white came up first

Yes, it is, Tetters. It's Osmanthus Burkwoodii and it's a cracking plant. The scent travels, on a warm day, a good 25 feet, and is absolutely glorious.:love30::hapydancsmil:

I thought so. I grow Delavayi - and your post has reminded me to take some cuttings this year... I must NOT forget ...again.

What is the small tree in the tub - I can`t zoom in enough to decide...could it be a witch hazel?
