Bet it smells heavenly with the Lilac @shiney. Does the Tree Peony have a short bloom like the shrubs?

@Victoria I think we have at least seven lilacs and they are only just beginning to let out their scent. Almost all of them are double doubles - two flower stems per stem and each tiny flower has multiple petals. I think that lilac coloured flower in the picture is one of the few singles.

The tree peony flowers only last 7 - 10 days but that tree keeps the show going for nearly three weeks as all the flowers don't come at once. I counted 42 heads on it last week. :dbgrtmb:

Posted another couple of video clips of what has started to flower in the front garden and in the east side of the garden.

Daphne still has a few flowers and much scent, this plant has been flowering since January:

I know I keep posting this peony but it's progressing very fast and will soon be finished - only about another dozen heads to flower

Not quite sure why they call this a 'black' Iris but it does look a lot darker at times

I've shown this sweet pea as it has been flowering very slightly up till now. There are quite a lot of flowers that are now in bud (counted over a dozen). We forgot to cut it down last season and it's looking a bit tatty but has a wonderful scent. Being white flowers they don't photograph well from a distance.

All the pear blossom has finished and the trees are forming small pears and the apples are doing well. This is one of our best eating apples called Charles Ross

@shiney your peony is stunning :wow: thanks for sharing your pictures. I have two peonies, bought last year but they are still quite small. I think I may have planted them too deep  I'm hoping for a few later flowers. If not I'll dig them up in the autumn and replant them.
