A double Stock that seems to be perennial, with the violets still going strong.

The white fritillaries pop up every year but don't seed, which is a shame...

For a couple of more weeks our balcony will continue to look OK but by the end of the month all the Daffs will be over for another year! The Hyacinths that were so gorgeous are also going over now! I have a small clump of Bluebells that have well advanced buds & another of Scilla siberica. But unfortunately they won't make much of an impact on the balcony! I have a few Geraniums that have a few flowers but at the moment May looks like it's going to be a "dismal" month- well at least the first half as I hope my son will take me to the nursery we have visited the last few years in the middle of the month.

I have Geraniums in flower & several Fuchsias that have survived the winter & are growing strongly but don't have flowers, or even buds, yet.

My Paeony is growing very quickly but it also will need a few more weeks before it flowers.

I've planted all my hanging baskets with Begonias but it will be June at the earliest before I see any flowers.

What do you mean @Balc ?

After spending the ( very cold ) Winter outside and accumulating no end of debris on top of their pots from the over head trees etc. they and their pots certainly deserved and needed some tender care I can assure you.

They were completely repotted with fresh compost after some were divided . Slow release fertiliser applied .Pots were cleaned .
Once they were definitely snail / slug free their islands were made up and they were safely back in their Summer postions. They can enjoy the Summer without coming under attack from the horrid slimey critters.

@Upsydaisy I was joking about the plants being cut back so drasticly! If that's what you call "TLC" then what would you call the opposite? What might your temper be like?

I hope I've made myself clearer now? ;)
