First Primula Denticulata to come out, later than last year, and the others behind have hardly grown.

@silu I guess this is what you are referring to.

Neither Mrs Shiney nor myself can remember at the moment.

Maybe someone on here can identify it? @Silver surfer :)

The flowers are quite small and so are the leaves and it's more silver than green. It's 'evergreen' and stands 4ft high and nearly 4ft wide.

I'll try and take a picture of the whole thing tomorrow.

Thanks @shiney , gawd the Altzheimers wasn't responsible I've never herd ofit! As it's evergreen and flowers now chances are it's a bit on the tender side. I'll do some homework on it and see if I would be bonkers to try and grow it. Lovely to see a plant I've not seen before......Just Googled it and as I suspected, it likes shelter and or a warm wall plus alkali soil, none of these are on offer here. Oh well can't moan too much as I can grow the wonderful acid loving plants.

Oh thanks @longk. I do have an area where I can grow Nerines. They do ok rather than flourish, maybe I could try giving the plant a go there although that doesn't solve it's liking for alkali soil. My garden is a bit big for me to have to cosset plants and fiddle with acidity levels for certain plants. They sort of have to get on with it but do like the look of this plant so might give it a try.
