@silu I think it will be Ok in your garden. Ours is in an area where it gets the freezing winds across the field (but sheltered a bit from the plants around it).

The flowers are quite small but they are pretty. It's only just starting to flower.

It's an interesting plant because of the colour effect of the leaves. Silver from a distance but green close up. I also like the flowers and so do the bees.

Many thanks @shiney for going to the trouble of taking a photo of the shrub.Definitely going to try it. I have a spot which might suit on a bit of a slope so drainage is good. I could throw some Growmore or similar at it each Spring ( note optimism that it will still be alive next Spring!:))If I didn't live 100s of miles away from you I could have maybe asked you to take cuttings and then I could have contributed to you open day.....sigh.
How old is the 1 you have? ie rate of growth, with a very big garden small amounts of anything look a bit daft so I might need to buy say 3 plants to look OK unless of course it is a thug but doesn't look,as tho it would be. Do,you prune yours? Presume if you do it's about May time when finished flowering.
I noticed the other week you had Penstemons looking mighty healthy, they struggle here, the small leafed are ok but the bigger leafed, the likes of King George which I like are likely to die off so I lift mine and store in the greenhouse. Gardening is a lot of trial and error. I have been "good" and not bought anything iffy for where I live for ages, so about time I had another" I'll give it a go" plant!
