    My Amalanchier Obilisk is coming into flower just now. Needs a bit of tying up though, as the clematis I have clambering through it make it a little leggier than desired.:

    The blue flowering plants in picture 4!!!! :mad: Are they the ones that are in my lawns smothering out the grass and acting like thugs in the borders..Low growing and the flowers only about 6" high????

    Yes Pal, as Waco says, they are Ajugar. They look great in the right place but I agree with you that they are thugs if you don't want them. They are easy to control in the borders because they dig out easily but can be a problem in lawns. Garden centres sell some varieties for quite a high price. They are also in my lawns but I haven't bothered to dig them out as mowing seems to keep them restricted.
