    Thanks, lolimac, it's amazing how fast the plants will grow given a bit of warmth and light............which is all they've had so far!!!:heehee:

          I love this new cultivar. The sky blue flowers clash nicely with the burgundy stems - Polemonium "Heaven Scent".........................

                        One "marker" for me that Spring has sprung is the bud burst of my Acer Brilliantissimum. Just seeing the buds open up says it all!!

                        One of my favourite herbaceous perennials is "Solomon's Seal" which never fails to surprise me as to how fast it will grow. I just love the "string of hanging pearls" that it produces. The only drawback of it in the early years was the appearance of Sawfly larva which can skeletonise a plant over night. Having said that I've not seen any for over a decade so "Solomon's Seal" is a welcome sight in the border.
