Lots of lovely colour there, ARMANDII :blue thumb:

Our garden isn't all that colourful at the moment.

The hanging baskets have colour, but are looking a bit tired

Annabelle's flowers are about 12" across

      P1170863.jpg

One of the miniature sunflowers has an interesting colouring

But the Shineyframe is working well, although still a few weeks behind normal

There are three x 20ft long sections that look like that and I had just picked 20lb before taking the photo. The, slightly blurry, long bean in the foreground hasn't been missed from the picking. It may be suitable for the flower show on Tuesday so I'm leaving it another 24 hours. :)

Everything still looking great Mr Shiny. Good luck with your entries in the Tuesday Flower Show.
What other classes are you entering?

I'll have to ask Mrs Shiney. She's the one that gets involved with all that. She won't be entering as many classes as usual - in the last three years she's won a total of 13 firsts, 14 seconds and some thirds. She has also won cups for the most overall points, the most wins in certain classes and an RHS Banksian medal. She only started entering a few years ago when she overheard one man boasting that he always won the most points. :snork:

I know she's going to enter this
          P1170870.jpg

and shall be entering some patty pan squash - like these
          P1170871.jpg

I don't know what crafts she might enter but she's been too busy recently to concentrate on entering things in the flower show. It's her gardening club that has this year's responsibility for organising a lot of the show and she seems to have been lumbered with most of the work!

Armandii and Shiney, really lovely pictures again. :dbgrtmb:

Armandii, the back view of the Cosmos is a lovely shot, it looks just like a parasol. :)

Thanks GA and Sheal.:wub2: Actually, great minds think alike [or fools seldom differ:dunno::heehee:], Sheal, as that shot reminded me of seeing a lady in Hong Kong, a long time ago, who's white parasol had blown inside out due to a strong wind.:snork: I always try to find a new angle when looking at a flower or plant and it's not too hard as every one is different.
GA, the "Stunning yellow one with red markings" is a Rudbeckia which I grew from a free seeds packet in the Amateur Gardening.:snork:

Fuchsias are very late this year - partly because they were neglected in a shady part of the garden as they weren't hardy so didn't think they would make a reappearance. This is Annabel:

Lots of buds though, so hopefully I'll have a profusion of them soon.

Here are some pix from my garden this morning: -

                    Lavender "Hidcote"
                    CIMG0011 (480x640).jpg

This is the promise of Cosmos "Purity" (free from GW magazine). I only planted the seeds on June 10th; seedlings appeared June 15th and I transplanted those in July. The first sight of the flower head forming was last week (11th), so I'm just counting the days until she blooms :heehee:

My "montbretia". I planted this in the copse from an el cheapo £ shop bag two years ago. This year, she's taken off ....

                    CIMG0036 (456x640).jpg

... and is a very bright colour ...
