That's very attractive Simbad and quite delicate looking!

 

Hopefully "White Towers" should open tomorrow or if not Tuesday. A couple more T.formosana varieties over the next week and then the real fun should start again. T.ishiana is rather loaded, and T.dilatata is budding up well.

 

The main "attractions" are passed their best for this year but still a few things are looking quite good despite the weather being less than great for the last week. Sun shinning atm so better get out and get going! The pale Astilbe is Sprite, it's not the best photo as it really is a lovely Astilbe (my favourite) with very pretty pink flowers not the same tone as in the photo and super dark green foliage.

 

Beautiful silu my eupatoriums been and gone a while ago now, do still have the dark leaved one thats not even showing signs of buds yet!!!!
You've had to much rain and we've had hardly any until friday night saturday when we had a decent amount , everything looks so much better now, even been planting out a few of your plants today now I can get a fork in the ground, the geraniums are doing great ones even had a couple of flowers, the salmony pink one

 

Silu your plants are looking very healthy - all very good looking specimens!

 

Echinacea 'Magnus'

Hairy Melic Grass, I love this grass grew it from RHS seed last year and its looked this good since spring!!!! it just keeps sending up more and more flower spikes.

Lilium Michauxii another seed grown plant I swapped the seeds for this on a swapshop and they arrived all crushed in an unpadded envelope :-( I didn't hold out much hope but every seed grew!!! won't show you the leaves though flippin lily beetle grrr.

Hollyhock, sure this was white and pink last year its a monster though must be 7ft!!!

Anaphalis


Acanthus - I like their stately flowers so I had planted 2 plants in different parts of the gardens, only to discover they were really not meant for small gardens. On their 3rd year I decided to kill them off before they smothered their neighbours to death. It turned out to be a hard battle to fight - it took me 4 years to finally get rid of the one that was in the main part of the garden. This one is growing in shade, therefore is not as vigorous, so I managed to keep its size on the small side.

Cosmos Corner
Not the poshest of plants , its only six letters long. But the white cosmos gazebo have stolen the show on my patio border ! And at an extortionate £1 a packet from Wilkos , so they should !
On a down note they have thugged out all my other bedding plants , but Cosmos are such a big happy ungainly plant just like a big daft Labrador dog
