      I have "Fan Scarlet"

Got several red Salvias, but not that particular one. What I have found is that I need to grow them to flowering and then decide if the colour is suitable ... or not ... or needs to be next / near a different companion. Takes years!!!!

My first wild flower from seeds sown in mid June (!)

For some reason I thought it was going to be a traditional poppy: the foliage was a feathery delicate type, so I was surprised to see this (ID anyone? I know it is a daisy of *some* description, but not the grass-weed type)

      CIMG0017 (640x479).jpg

This is one of the clematis I bought from Morrisons for £2 back in Feb/Mar this year and popped in a pot. (Elsa Spath I believe)

And my wild (volunteer) strawberries (close up)

      CIMG0024 (480x640).jpg

      And in their glory ...

Some real beauties you have there 'M' - love the strawberry!
Hard to tell with the daisy as we know there are so many daisy-like flowers - but could it be Argyranthemum frutescens?

Thank you, GA, you are very kind. (Those two strawberries in the first pic? Were nibbled with our morning cuppa the next day :heehee: it is growing next to my patio step and we were sat there letting the dogs run and I couldn't resist leaning over and popping one in my mouth  But, Mr M spotted me and so I had to give him one of them too)

It could be, but I'll only know for certain if it remains evergreen? I know it's a hard one, but it was definitely listed as a "wild" flower and the flower head is no bigger than the weed daisy.

Our hibiscus has only just started flowering. It's in our 'orphanage'.

As lots of people know we look after or sell (for charity) 'unwanted' plants, we are always having them brought to our door. Some are brought because people are moving or having buildings put in their gardens. Others are because they are no longer wanted or there are new planting projects that need the space.

This lovely hibiscus has been grown in a pot and is over 5ft high. We have adopted it :blue thumb:

The only fat hen I've (knowingly) grown in my garden was Fatty Hatty ... January 7 2012 022 (784x800).jpg
