What's looking good in August 2016

Mine too. One of the great doers in my garden.

 

Round the front.. top half of the "new" bed is doing really well, love the Coreopsis it's done me proud.



Dahlia "Duet" wasn't like this last year but I like it..

As it doesn't look too bad virus wise I have kept Canna Cleo as it is flowering.

Passiflora Lavander Lady (Amethyst), almost lost it this winter and it's only flower so far.

 

Not sure but I think mine is Nymansay.

Not really but a greenhouse is preferable to get the tuber moving in spring as I don't think it is fully hardy. Others here have grown it for longer than me and have more experience with it.
The main problem with Cannas is virus affecting many plants, I believe carried via aphids so it can spread rapidly. It doesn't kill the plants but can give them an unhealthy look.

... it was meant to be "Plum Tart" but that is the chance you take when you buy them from an el cheapo store; not that I'm complaining because it is a fab colour
Now, I wonder what colour the "Priscilla" will turn out to be
