        Chocolate radishes loki :Wino:

Impulse....I suddenly decided to dig up a berberis. It was ok but not deserving a place anymore. A salvia Waverley has been moved in ...temporarily perhaps
A bloomin' hot day...v humid....and the roots were deep and spreading. Had to watch out for helenium, sanguisorba, salvia cacalifolia and elymus magellanicus too so not much room to work in. Should have worn gloves but I didnt so a few scratches and cuts but glad it is done now.
        Pruned oleria to shape.

        Cold lager now:Wino:

Loki is a super name for a dog. What kind is he? Glad you got to use the name anyway! When we first got our Loki and he would race up the walls and look at us over the top of the curtains we thought we had picked a good name, but it doesn't suit him now at the grand old age of three and three quarters! The funny picture was actually a yawn, but he has a fine set of fangs.

Not plants, obviously, but my experiment with the patio seems to be working. I used to have to pressure hose it four times a year (took forty hour each time as it's 2,000sq ft :rolleyespink: ) and even then it wasn't getting done properly. The surface grime, algae and a lot of the growths on it were OK but I just couldn't remove the black spots.

The work was also getting too much for me (back and shoulder ache). Then a cousin recommended a product called Wet and Forget when I asked him how he keeps his patio so clean. I looked it up and it says it's non-toxic :th scifD36: so I gave it a go. It's quite expensive and says it takes a long time to work.

So this is how it was on 1st December:-

                      P1310707.JPG

Then on Jan 2nd - not a great deal of change and quite disappointing:-

                      P1310732.JPG

                      P1310741.JPG

                      And last week:-

                      P1350388.JPG

                      P1350389.JPG

I sprayed on one application at the start, then a second in January when I was disappointed, but have left it since then.

It's not perfect but is certainly a lot better and I'm happy with it. As they say it continues to work I'm trying to decide whether to buy some more and put on another application, or whether to wait and see. I think I'll ask them if it continues to work after it has been on nine months.

Morning Shiney.....looks to be an excellent product. Think I would wait and see how long it continues to work before another application ....you will then know.
                        Fantastic patio there Shiney :)

I used it on my tarmacked driveway, Shiney, 3 years ago to clear moss etc. It was slow to work and needed a reapplication to clear the driveway. As you say it is quite expensive but it does seem to have worked on your concrete patio getting rid of the marks and spots.:snorky:

Unfortunately within 18 months the moss returned and I had to re-treat the driveway but, I have to say, that the moss is now back again:wallbanging:. So, considering the cost of the product, it has, for me, not proved any better or longer lasting than Pressure Washing or an application of bleach, [cheaper:dunno:].
