We have very little colour left in the garden which is a combination of lack of rain, going away on holiday - and laziness.

The Chinese lanterns are doing well now (were very sad for a while) and we have about a 25ft stretch of them along the end wall. They're hidden from sight as there's just a narrow path between the house and the fence and we have machinery installed along that wall. We have this large amount of lanterns that nobody sees because Mrs Shiney uses them in flower arrangements.

Dahlias are just about hanging on (just left in the ground from last year and no attention being paid to them at all. They've been rewarding our sad neglect with a good display for months

                    P1400751.JPG

We dug up a large clump, from a friend's garden, of Malepartus as it was getting out of hand for their small garden. We then split it, repotted them into a dozen pots, spoke to them nicely and sold them on Open Day. We kept a couple of plants for ourselves to grow for stock.
                    P1400749.JPG

The Cyclamen/Hellebore bed is just starting to flower again. The bed is about 30ft and mainly just the two types of plants (this is just a section of it). The Cyclamen spreads right through the Hellebores and this open section will be solid with flowers next month. Over the years they have spread through other beds and into the lawns. I just spotted a clump of them in flower in our wild area fifty foot away.

And by courtesy of @pete These are just starting to flower. We have a few pots of them but this one is way ahead of the others. We, sadly, neglected them as we couldn't find space in the greenhouse over winter and thought they had died. For the winter I stood the pots on the compost heaps and I like to think they appreciated it.
