Me too.

I got three tiny bulbettes from America in 2018 and I think this is their second year bloom and only one last year so I am pleased this year.

 

Heleniums.

The sunflower that popped up in my tomato planter, I reckon the Coal Tits have been stashing their seeds there. Of course, it's right by the fence and looking over it in to my neighbour's garden.


Aster of some kind, can't remember the details but isn't it a gorgeous blue?


French Marigolds have been flowering their socks off since May and produced lots of seed.

 

Gaura lindheimeri - amazingly this plant survived our wet winter. Having lost them the previous winter I'd grown new ones from seed this year so they're now planted in the same bed and will prolong the flowering into autumn.





More Mango Popsicles. Fantastic name for this small poker. Happily the molluscs have ignored their fleshy flower stems for now.

Patio Rose - several birthdays ago I went to a local rose specialist to get Mrs LS a variety she particularly wanted and ended up also buying several patio roses they were selling off at a ridiculously low price. They're in pots, and sadly neglected, but they just keep on giving.

 

Beautiful, @LunarSea. Love the colour of that rose. If only patio varieties had good scent!

I was thinking about the Vallotta and I remember buying mine in Woolies c1978 for less than £2. It lived in the small bay window of our cottage in Whitchurch till we moved to Upton in 1984 where it lived in the bay window there till we moved here in 2001, always in the same brown china pot with attached saucer. Then I put it in the ground ...

This was in August 2009 before they died ...

They're beautiful @Victoria, pity they died. I'm glad you've got more now.

 

That Salvia died too sadly and haven't found it since. The new Valottas are in the same old brown china pot as the original ones.

First little flowers on a new clem I got as a tiny plant from Asda earlier this year -Aotearoa. The slugs have already had a go at that flower and some emerging buds [sigh....] so it's back in a little moat so that I can at least enjoy some flowers this year. It'll be grown on until next year before planting out, but it'll be up against the house wall to try and keep it safer from the slugs.


I had to apply the same method with C. Julka, which I'd waited a long time to get, and had done quite well last year. Had to dig it up and pot it as it was getting annihilated. The things we do...

I've not seen that colour and of course love the Hibiscus ... what a difference having rain makes.

 

I had forgotten about this thread, I haven't had an alert since page 3. Just enjoyed looking back. What beautiful, colourful gardens you all have. My garden in SW France is starting to look autumnal.
