Some more new plants promising a good show:
Campsis Flamenco- I've had 'Mme Galen' before, but I like this just as much. it's already 6' tall. The clematis in the background is Mid Blue, only a tiny flower but very welcome as it got weedkillered!

Common or garden Hibiscus- loads of buds to come. Pink one is only just showing buds.

No perfume to either of these but colours are making up for it!
Loads of sunflowers out now too, I grew a variey free with Amateur Gardening [I think] called Pastiche, supposed to be pastel shades but they're all facing next door , so I'll go and take a photo tomorrow.

Thanks, Strongylodon- I can't get the definition that others manage, don't know whether it's hand shake or the old camera! I am improving though....

Pink bougie, last year's cutting from Tenerife last july. As it's a glabra type it maybe hardy but I will not chance it outside till the second winter.

Hi Strongy, Love your Bourgie, I go to Tenerife quite often and always admire them there, how do you take a cutting and get it home without it wilting? also what do you do with it if it survives? I have a greenhouse that I heat in winter so do you think I could grow one?

yes you are correct strongy, I did have problems with BH, I think they are small though. Had problems with salpiglosis too, I actually think the compost and peat pots I used were part of the downfall, and could do with some good advice on goos seed compost.
