What's looking good in December 2016

    Not a lot in flower at the moment but the shrubs etc. are looking good now that we've pruned and shaped most of them.

    Only just noticed that the irises are hiding away under the leaves. They normally grow above the leaves.

    The Hellebore foetidus is now getting into it's stride and we have well over a hundred of them around the garden. They get quite rampant and we are always removing some of them but we need to get a bit more ruthless this winter. I'll try potting some up for Open Day.

      Sort of but I suspect that you may be confusing it with Codonopsis? Canarina is a tender winter bloomer.

        Amazingly my Eccremocarpus scaber is still putting out the odd flower or two despite the frosts.........

          Morning everyone, it's a very frosty one is Cambridgeshire at the minute, sun is shining strong and blue skies in abundant! ❄️

          Amaryllis Is coming along nice and well, not long till the flower pops I imagine, happily basking in the sun in the conservatory.
