          He spends most of the day in the heated propagator (next to him with the fleece cover over it) and comes out for a cuddle when I look in there and water things. He's a breed that likes water so doesn't bother if I accidentally water him as well.

          All our cyclamen were in bloom last month so they've gone dormant now. Lots of snowdrops popping through the soil :blue thumb:

            Beautiful looking cat @shiney and glad that it enjoys water so much.Our Poppy used to flee if I accidentally sprayed her with water when I had the hosepipe on:biggrin: The rabid cat that had half adopted us was taken back by the owner when she was thrown out of the house she was renting by the landlord at the end of August so from what I have found out the cat is now living with her mother in the next village down the road so at least it has landed on its feet again.:biggrin:

            The cyclamen that has a lot of flowers on it was one that I bought from outside Waitrose the other month for £2 (reduced)and it was the only one left.Every time it has a flower open I pollinate them so hopefully will get some seed next July/August time:smile:

            I was reading about the Iris Unguicularis that the flowers are scented which I didn’t realise.Problem is with my arthritic knees if I kneel down to smell the flowers I will struggle to get back up so will just have to admire the colour instead :snorky:

              Similar to me except that I haven't been able to kneel for over thirty years :old: :noidea:

              Sarafi the cat, as part of the Bengal breed, is quite happy in the water. If we accidentally spray him with the hose when we're watering the greenhouse and he's hidden amongst the plants, he just stands up, glares at us a little bit (mainly because we've disturbed his snooze), shakes himself and then goes back to sleep. I quite often see him strolling around in the rain.

                          @shiney - you have Rhodochiton in bloom still! At least I now know for sure that you officially live in a bubble of warmth of full on southern softie proportions :heehee:

                          This Lewisia is still in bloom................

                            @longk I don't know whether it has survived the last two very frosty nights. Tonight is frosty as well. I'll have a look in the morning. It sits in the open but in a fairly sheltered spot. The main thing is that you need to talk nicely to your plants. :blue thumb:

                              @longk Update:-
                              Three nights of frost, one of them -4C and they're still in flower :blue thumb:

                              This is where the plant lives but in fairly neglected conditions. I had a chat with it today (a bit one sided) and it doesn't seem unhappy.

                                My Poinsettia and Brugmansia today ....

                                Poinsettia.Brug Dec 18.jpg

                                The Poinsettia is very straggly as it didn't get cut back which you must do before August when blooming starts to do its thing. It is probably nearly 3.5 metres tall, Brugmansia about 3 I guess.

                                Jacaranda above hasn't lost its leaves yet.
