It has for the last four or so years, thats all I can say.
They are not totally hardy, so, if it gets colder this winter, who knows.
You have to keep a realistic attitude when growing borderline hardy plants, I think.

How strange, pete ... I was going to put up my Leo Leo but decided on only the other two ... nice to see yours blooming now. [IMG] They are strong here and bloom almost non-stop if they are constantly cut back. I've read they can get to over 2 metres tall and mine is heading that way!

LoL, I grew them a few years ago and they never survived the winter, I'm hoping with our milder winters they might make it through.

    Dee,was it Basjoo?
If not then it could well have been dead, but basjoo should be hardy enough to come through the winter in a unheated greenhouse, without any wrapping, in fact the wrapping can cause the stems to rot.

Yeah your probably right walnut, I would only add that it needs wrapping with something that can breathe. ie. hessian or lots of layers of fleece, never the dreaded bubble wrap.
As I tend to fuss a bit about my plants I tend to remove any wrappings when the temp is above freezing, not something a lot of people are prepared to do, keep taking it off and putting it back again, it is a pain.

[IMG] Well I was pleased to see this in flower today. I have not grown these before & it is the first time it has flowered for me. Crytanthus mackenii - Ifafa Lily or as some people call it a Fire Lily.

My friend brought it home from S.Africa as a tiny plantlet a couple of yrs ago & now it is flower... It lives in the greenhouse all the time. [IMG]

Also my Money plant/Jade plant crassula ovata in flower as well.
