They are, they are, they are, thanks Victoria-I`ll know exactly what to order for next autumns planting now-I would have chickened out otherwise for fear of me ordering wrong and it looking daft. Thanks Victoria.

As they are maturing and more and more come up the colour is really very striking, I never thought anything could outdo a daffodil in an early English spring, but if these get anymore beautiful I`ll have to eat my words.

Bob, the P i s s ardi Plum has tiny plums shaped like cherries and mine has the dark purple leaves. A lovely tree.

Roders, a lovely splash of colour ... looks like more yellow coming from behind with the Eranthus, Winter Aconite?

Claire, you will be positively overrun by this little beauties in a year or two .... they are about the prettiest of the dwarf I think.

Oh, woo, what a striking blue colour ... I was just saying on Kathy3's spring basket thread that I can't recall seeing Polyanthus here .....

Well, to add a wee bit more yellow ... my ONE AND ONLY mini daff that seems to not be 'blind' opened this morning .....

This little darling is 10cms tall and the flower 2cm across. Fortunately it's in a pot at the kitchen gate at eye level so I can appreciate it.

Any hints/clues as to why they are all blind?

Thanks Walnut, I have recently bought a dark purple Hellebore from a specialist nursery which isn't planted out yet but I'll take a photo, yours is beautiful too.

Lovely purples and burgundies, do you have a name for that double hellebore-I will note it down and keep my eye open. I can`t come here without my little book every time I do I see something beautiful that I would love in my own garden.

Victoria, that little daffodil is lovely, and has inspired me to put up a few of my own.

I don`t know or can`t remember the particular names

I'm sorry I don't have a name for it! I had a selection of about six double hellebores from some plant catalogue, they were all very small seedlings and only two survived, the other one is a cream one with pink markings which I'll take a photo of tomorrow.

I am not sure how easy they are to grow from seed ?!

Or if they will even come true, I`ll have to search through the books for it. Thankyou anyway Stingo-it`s a real beauty.
