Now that is one beauty of a Camelia, bobj. I don't think I've seen such a gorgeous specimen since I lived in South Carolina. Lucky you ... I'm jealous. [IMG]

That is a beauty and to think it is blooming now!

Is it in a protected spot in your garden, or do you have a milder climate in North Devon than elsewhere in south England, or are they really that hardy?

That's a beautiful double Bobj, mine is in bud but not showing any sign of openning yet.
Some varieties flower earlier than others and coupled with the mild weather, even earlier.

Beautiful specimen Bobj, like Strongy`s mine is in bud and waiting to go.

A great many fab pics from everybody, here are a couple from my garden.

Not sure what this is but it popped out yesterday when the sun was blazing, not opened today with it being cloudy, it is also only 3 inches from ground to tip. It has a couple of dodgy petals but I don`t care,it makes it that bit more special and individual.

Some crocuses in the front garden.

My beech tree is just starting to blossom, can`t wait to see that in all its glory.

Hello pip. [IMG] I'm wondering if your little red flower is a species mini Tulip? I had some years ago.

Hi LoL [IMG] I think you are right, Mrs Pip spotted a variety of tulip called "Pinnochio" whilst we were out today, the image on the packet was just like the ones in my garden.

Gorgeous, Bob! Not only having that beautiful Camillia blooming in February, but now also this Clemetis! It is covering the fence very nicely. Thanks for sharing.

These are hidden in a very sheltered corner and were blooming when I went away at the beginning of Dec and are still going strong.

This is also sheltered just by our front porch and the pot stands far enough out to just get the rain. It was also blooming before we went away and had no looking after for the five weeks we were away. Mrs shiney waters it regularly now.

There are virtually no leaves on this plant yet and this is the only flower. The plant is about five ft high.

    I'll soon be eating this.
