Hi Graham no must say mine have never suffered from leaf spot and I've had them in the garden for over 10 years now, in fact I must admit I'd never heard of the problem till reading your comment, do now though I've just googled it :D.

There are some lovely ones now aren't there ARMANDII , I want more too:D, and yes is nice not to have to lay on the ground to get a good picture:heehee:, especially as most of mine are in our little wood which runs along the side of a main road, one day the men in white coats'll be coming to take me away:loll:.

We have loads of the older types of hellebores and have recently been starting to acquire a number of newer varieties. We have some of the upward looking ones and have, only in the last couple of years, planted doubles. The phot of the double I put on this thread is the first one that has bloomed.

One of the disappointing things with all the new ones is that they don't seem to self-seed at all. We'll have to give them a hand.

          Nice pics all!

Farmyard Nurseries have a great collection of Tricyrtis - I've been thinking of buying from them once the move is done.

First Iris emerged today - I.reticulata I think.
