    Not sure, Ziggy :scratch:. That photo was not taken in my garden. I happened to have my camera with me on my walk into the village this morning. Along the verge between the road and the ditch we have about 150ft of sloe trees. They're all covered in that lichen.

      Thanks simbad :dbgrtmb:. We have another clump that's bigger and a few clumps a lot smaller.

      Lovely photo of reticulata, longk :dbgrtmb:. The blues always come out before the purple. Neither types are out in our garden yet :(.

          Thanks graham, bought that one a couple of years ago from Hodsock Priory on a trip to see the snowdrops , love at first sight just had to have it :D.

            I do have a soft spot for helebores. Will be posting a list of plants i'm removing from the garden soon if anyone is intrested for free of course

              as promised my ornamental quince she's only a baby but what a lovely early flower :D. can't find name tag though :(. also could some one tell me who to put a big pic on here i only seem to do thumbnails:scratch:
