After 6 years from growing from seed I finally have a flower on my New Zealand Hybrid Hellebore and there's plenty more buds coming too :yess:

      longk,
nice photos, my denticulata are showing lots of leaf but not a hint of flower, yet! :( Your myrtifolia certainly looks like myrtle leaves

      Bilbo,
Well done with the Hellebore :yess:. I never know the names of most of my plants :dunno:, especially all the hellebores. All our common ones seed like mad but the special ones don't seem to have any seeds.

Crikey that is a pretty nasty disease Graham, is there anything you can use to prevent it?
I'm getting paranoid now off to check my hellebores :D

i've got a couple of choices.

        1. leave it till warmer temperatures,:dbgrtmb:

        2. remove all the infected leaves, but that will exspose the younger less frost hardy growth to frosts:what:

        3. spray with a frungicide, but again it isn't wise to do in winter conditions:scratch:
