@Logan, your Polyanthus must be very happy in your garden to be flowering so early. Mine are still just leaves. None of my bulbs are anywhere near flowering, but there are a lot of their green shoots and I see more and more green shoots every day. Strange how a few snowdrops and crocuses can make me feel so happy.

Thank you @groundbeetle some of them do start early and I planted nearly all of them in autumn.

My wife had some geraniums in tubs and once they were past their first flush she was going to dump them. I grabbed them for my patch and they happily flowered for a good deal longer.
We cut them back at the beginning of November and now the first of them has started to bloom again. In January!

Hesperantha hybrid grown from seed many years ago. Flowers sporadically throughout the year.

Just a few bright sparks that I came across this afternoon doing their best to brighten up a dreary Winter garden.

I just noticed that my snowdrop shoots have flower buds on them. Lots of bulbs have shoots but no flowers, even the freesia bulbs that I planted last autumn have lots of shoots, though no flowers yet, I wasn't expecting them to even grow.

Not a good picture, but the Cape Leeuwin wattle is still flowering despite the slight frosts we have had.
