Hmmm.......now I'm getting interested.

 

Just been for a wander round the garden with the camera. Despite the cold and the snow, a few things still caught my eye.

Cornus 'Midwinter Fire' in a large pot underplanted with Ophiopogon 'Nigrescens'. A winter favourite of mine, I think it works even better with a coating of snow.



The Fatsia Japonica with its tropical looking leaves coated in snow looks quite striking.



The bare branches of the old apple tree, topped with snow, while the mistletoe provides some greenery for contrast.



A box ball doing its best impression of a Christmas pudding!

I'd love to see mistletoe growing in my apple tree; your's looks so pretty. It grows way, way, way up high in my Poplar, but I'll never get that high.

 

I never thought to look for this thread as I find January so goddamn miserable!

My offering for the day is Iris "Katherine Hodgkin".....................


First of the snowdrops opened today too...............

 

Like the Iris Longk, that's an early bloomer.
