What's looking good in July 2009

    I am very lucky in that I have two oak trees-they shed leaves a foot thick in places in Autumn-I spread the leaves all over the beds to help keep off the frost-and so far so good.

    In all my borders we have weedex and then bark. I add some winter fleece on top of the weedex and then layer it really thick with bark. No idea if it does anything but not lost anything yet :)

    had a look back and found pics of your lupins, geraniums, dahlia's etc- splendid indeed:thumb:

    There Gorgeous Bob. The one's you sent me are Huge, (all that rain) they wont be long to flower as there's loads of buds..

    My Dahlias are just starting to fill out in the border under the front room window, I have some more in the middle of the lawn, and waiting for the flowers, and there colours, to open. They were bought very cheap, as the the plants are mixed up, ie pom pom deco and cactus so I am keeping my fingers crossed that the colour on the labels come true yellow and white I think
