My apologies - I seem to have been absent from this thread for some time. Our poor weather doesn't seem to have effected the plants that much. There are some superb pictures and plants here.

I am splitting this as the system only allows 6 own pictures per post.

I love that Ixia Strongy, especially the wee mutant flower in the middle!

PeterS - how do you care for the F.boliviana? I have a couple coming along from the seed that you sent.

Hi LongK. I am pleased you have some growing.

I don't do anything special with Fuschia boliviana. I just treat it like any other Fuschia, ie it likes water, and is happy with my sun - which would be regarded as shade in Bolivia.

I have about three plants and I think I overwintered them all inside the house under a low level grow light - ie just enough to keep it alive. I am not sure if it would like the greenhouse at 1C as I haven't tried it. I keep some Fuschias overwinter at 1C, but things like triphyllas tend to die.

Thanks PeterS! They are painfully slow growing, but appear to have a bit of a spurt on at last.

Excellent baskets :dbgrtmb: Ours haven't turned out too well this year and the planting arrangements weren't too good  as we used plants that weren't ready for sale for Open Day

This one is growing rather tall in the middle (was supposed to be shorter) and is still growing
                P1130183.JPG

Some of the plants in this one haven't grown at all!
                P1130185.JPG

This hasn't done too badly but is a bit squarish
                P1130184.JPG

And the bacopa that was planted in this one, to give green and white cover hanging down, has decided not to bother
                P1130216.JPG

The variegated summer jasmine has only just decided to flower - nearly two months late
                P1130181.JPG

But this clematis, which was only planted 7 weeks ago, is doing well

Hebes seem quite happy with the changeable weather.

This variegated one has tiny, delicate leaves and small flowers but grows fairly tall.
                  P1130149.JPG

Whereas these two are quite showy but are lower growing plants
                  P1130148.JPG

                  P1130151.JPG

We're pleased with this Campanula lactiflora 'Pritchards' that graham the gardener sent us
                  P1130186.JPG

One of our double hardy geraniums has been flowering solidly for two months and looks as though it will keep going until the frost
                  P1130171.JPG

This delicate bicolour lychnis suffered during the wet weather but is starting to grow now that we have the heat

Love that double flower Cranesbill Mr Shiney. I envy you that generous amount of space you can afford to give it . It is repaying you with a wonderful show,
