Thanks, Jenny. Yes, it's a very rewarding plant :dbgrtmb:.

Although we have a large garden Mrs Shiney manages to fill any spare space as soon as I make it :heehee:

Now we've got warm, dry weather things are starting to flower more. Here's a few pics from the borders today.

I have had not a very good first year in this garden/ gardening in general. Things have got eaten, tipped, not grown, killed by frost etc etc

But the hydrangeas that were one of the few plants left in the borders when we moved in are looking pretty magnificent

            Great pictures, folks :dbgrtmb:

It's 18 months since we planted three Agapanthus and last summer we only had two flowers. Now we have over twenty just starting to open.

This clematis has grown 18ft up a dead tree in one season :dbgrtmb:

The pashionflower is new this year

Inula is just opening and will be a wonderful splash of colour soon. Later on there will be orange crocosmia growing through them at the back of the clump.

              garden23july2012xx001.JPG
I admit, I still have to work on it, but it all will get better the next year -as usual (I though the same the previous year:heehee:) I have planted a variegated buddleja to have more height, its the 2nd year now.

I like this particular sedum, it has a nice greyish green and the pale pink flowers go well with that

Absolutely SPOT ON Loveweeds. All gorgeous stuff. And just how I like a garden to look too. Don't do formal "parks and gardens" either.

Thanks Jenny, no chance for formality, loveweeds loves it weedy. But I have already been sitting and plotting this autumns/next springs replanting....
Throw some stuff out to have "less mess"... throw in the one or other anchor plant, try to match up colours
