Phygelius 'Salmon Leap' nice to see this recovered at last thought I'd lost it in the cold winter 3 years ago and this is the first time its flowered since.

Had to sneak one in Daylily 'Siloam David Kirchoff' lovely little mini.

The toadflax is pretty Jenny not something I've ever grown...........
prolific self seeder simbad - happy to send you fresh seed a bit later. Linaria "Canon Went" will be along soon. I love its delicate form, also self seeds well.

Thanks for the kind offer Kristen but I've decided against it. Having done a little research on the web I've found that it's invasive, it's common name is Knotweed (I can see that in the shape of the leaves) which brings up all sorts of horrible pictures in my mind. Also, I haven't the space, soil or aspect it would like so it's pretty much a non starter, a shame really it's an attractive plant.

 

Something of a curiosity this one, a perennial Foxglove going by the name of Digitalis 'Coffee & Cream'. Its not going to win any awards in the show stopping colour stakes but I knid of like it and its another plant I grew from seed

This plant is four years old now and evergreen, forming a nice clump over time.

 

Sheal I have Red Dragon and ok I live in Scotland so things are perhaps not quite so fast growing in comparison to places with warmer climates but honestly I haven't found Red Dragon invasive at all and it's a cracking foliage plant. Depending on how much sun it gets it can go from a greeny silvery black colour to bright red. Kristen is spot on so so easy to root. I used to live close to a river and had the horror Japanese Knotweed on the river bank. I can assure you Red Dragon to my mind has absolutely no similarities at all other than the shape of leaf. If it did resemble the horror Knotweed I'd be out daily with Roundup trying to get rid of it!!!!

 

Hmmm, you've got me thinking again Silu. I just think it would struggle anyway, sandy soil, full shade and facing north east, not a good combination and I'm past the point where I want to play nurse-maid to plants.

 

Agree about being past playing nurse maid! Don't think it would mind the sandy soil.I have it (by design not it being "naughty") in various places but they are all in full sun, as much as Scotland can muster anyway.That said 1 clump is quite shaded by another plant and it does fine, just not so red. It isn't the hardiest of plants I've found and any bits I've rooted can't get planted out their 1st season and need their 1st winter under cover but again that may only be up here.

 

I have it in heavy shade here. It forms a bold plant during the season, and grows quite wide (compared to how it starts the year!) but in winter is cut back to nothing, like any perennial, and then starts again next year. I haven't noticed it spreading much, by itself, but with a little help it propagates easily.

The one I have grown is only 2 years old and its the first time its flowered, so I'm impressed with it throwing 5 flower spikes up

Love the Bishops weed Loli. I'm glad that so many of you have the more obscure plants in their gardens to show on GC. There's always new things to discover everyday here,
