Having put up with a cold, wet and windy spring and summer there's very little in the way of colour in my gardens. Most of my annuals have already been binned but there is a little colour in one bed. As you can see, Nicotiana have done well.

The most difficult garden I've owned to date, this is the only surviving tree I have and it's been a fight to keep it alive. I planted it six years ago and it's only put on 2ft in height. I've lost four others.

Sambucus 'Black Lace'. I lost it's parent plant in the above bed last year due to the weather conditions here and decided to give a couple of cuttings a go. Now in a sheltered spot, I'll have to wait and see how this one fairs in the pot.

One of the few surviving double Antirrhinum's. It's the first time I've grown these but I still prefer the originals. :)

Plenty of floral colour there Sheal. I was thinking , from your posts, that it was mainly green.
I'm not having a good tomato year . Not a generous Spring weatherwise was it,
              Jenny

My front garden is a good size @Jenny namaste but my roses are the only colour in it this year, everything apart from the Lupins earlier has failed. It's such a disappointment when weeks are spent growing from seed and nurturing, then it all gets wiped out. :doh:Better luck next year I hope....if I'm still here of course (house move).

I think tomatoes are quite fickle, they never seem to grow the same two years in succession. I was doubting mine a month ago but they've started to come on now. Perhaps yours will put on a spurt soon, fingers crossed. :fingers crossed:

That Rudbeckia is gorgeous @Lolimac, it looks good enough to eat! :)

This is my Passiflora × violacea which I bought from Morrisons in February 2013. It is in a pot (and kept outside!) with my clematis. I had one flower on it last year and thought it had died over the winter, but, its returned this summer to smile at me. Isn't she beautiful?

I've only ever had the more common one before and, as much as I liked it, I didn't want another. Mind you, when I bought this one, I was at my previous home but I really, really liked it.
I'm surprised it has survived because I understood it was a conservatory plant (which I don't have). Mind you, the past two winters have been mild, I suppose.
