What's looking good in July 2015

Our front border used to be full of Aquilegia (amongst other things) but, after their recent sad demise from the blight, we have put in grasses. Earlier in the year it's full of irises and allium siculum, then come the hundreds of wild poppies and, later on the crocosmia will be in bloom.

 

A few plants around the garden.

A couple of day lilies that have just started flowering (not sure the names are still legible on the labels but I didn't look )





Kalla Lily - Mango



Thalictrum aquilegifolia - this is 10ft high


Crocosmia Lucifer - just starting to open


The Inulas are also just starting to open


The Passion Flower is flowering like mad now. Over a hundred flowers and hundreds of buds!


Annabelle - drooping a bit under the weight of the flowers


Veronicastrum - a cutting taken from last year


Phygelius - not only are they floriferous but the inside of the flower is not to be missed




Sarafi followed me all round the garden checking the flowers as well
