    @Trunky , this is the Begonia Santa Cruz you recommended back in 2014 . I bought 5 small plugs , this is the only one to survive . Flowers from mid June to the frosts in November :blue thumb:

      Excellent value.
      I have similar, Crackling Fire in yellow, pink, red and orange. Easy peasy and can be used again every year :)

          Hi Redwing, it looks like Eryngium ( Sea Holly ) to me. Echinops' flowers are in a ball shape

                I seem to have a lot of hydrangeas...mostly blue mopheads. I may have to replace one or two with some other varieties....I quite like the varied colours on the pink bush as the flowers fade, though.
