Oh and acacia baileyana purpurea from seed - the only really decently coloured one from the batch... AcaciaBaileyanaSm.jpg

I have grown that acacia elsewhere CarolineL......a stunner and it does well down here. The blue rivals that of eucalyptus but the purple new growth is superb.
This bloomin' forum is tempting me daily!!! :snorky:
You have done better than I have with the watsonias......I have some white ....absolutely beautiful ...and pink but, this year no flowers yet. It flowered late last year so perhaps the cycle is continuing that way! :)

Hi @Verdun - the red is a long way ahead of the other pink ones, but it is in the ground whereas the others are all in tubs... I lost arderne white last year, so have bought it again. It has far larger flowers. Yes, I suspect I'll have to keep the acacia in the polytunnel - it's not as hardy as retinodes and pravissima. You're very lucky living where you do!

You have hit the nail on the head CarolineL.....mine are in comtainers, dont know why I did that, and I think they would be flowering now in the ground
Your acacia would benefit from being outside in summer at least.....?? :)

A good doer is our Jayne :)
Despite the rain I had decided to trim choisya Sundance and pittosporum Garnettii so I did. Soaking but job done :hapfeet:
instead of a lager I will have a cup of milk coffee :Wino:
