Love the Albizia Pete, why might it be the last year for the Campsis?

Thanks Victoria, the Albizia is the best I've seen it, seems to love the dy weather.
As to the Campsis, well, I noticed a tall shoot around the back of my conservatory, with flower buds, that is 12 ft away from the main root, and the opposite side of the conservatory.
Worst bit is, the shoot was coming out of a drain.:frown:.

So spayed that with weed killer, but thinking of doing a hatchet job on the whole plant come the winter.

Hi @pete yes, the vanda is a great colour - and flowers regularly as a windowsill plant! The T rex only has 1 current sucker but I am going to try to detach it so that I have it in a pot ready for when I move. The good thing about the foliage is that it protects heuchera Lime Ricky from scorching in summer, but is absent when the heuchera is looking good in spring. The leaves are very tempting to try and use as formers for cement leaves for a fountain...

Ha ha Gail....I always prefer growing in the ground but now have so many pots/containers. Wish we could post fragrance :) I try to have as many scented plants as poss in the garden ......I think people often forget the value of scent
