@longk - doesn't that lily look gorgeous! I have one, but feel sort of uncomfortable that the flower is so big on such a short stem - it practically hits the ground when in bud!
@pete - I'm impressed with those from seed. BTW, in a few weeks I may be able to show photos of plumeria - only taken 7 years from seed for it to finally start showing buds... (the other 4 plumeria plants are showing nothing)

Absolutely stunning! @Perki I particularly like the Veronicastrum and Cleome. Is that cleome fragrant and what other plant is the fragrance like? Liking that kniphofia, too! :)

Thanks Nick :blue thumb: I not noticed any scent from the cleome before but I don't tend to get to close or it may attack me with its invisible thorns .

Veronicastrums are great bullet proof , I three variety's fasination - Diane ( in last pic , small this year cause I moved it about 5 times ) and pink glow which is in the front garden.

I don't have many fragrant plants but some roses smell divine, The phlox smell quite nice at the moment , I have regale lilys and other lilys which can be a bit overpowering and a wisteria smells wonderful. The odd annuals like helitrope - night stocks / stocks and probably something else I've forgot.

Thanks for the reply @Perki, I really want a veronicastrum but the few they had at the local garden centre looked in awful shape! That 'Fascination' is really elegant and a lovely colour so I think I'll mail order it. These are must have's for a pollinator-friendly garden and will do well in my heavy clay, I think.

Heliotrope, I just couldn't believe how much like a cherry pie that plant smells, I have some seeds and will try growing it next year! :) I'm a bit like you, rarely bother with annuals but I'm going to experiment with them now I have an allotment.

                      Nick
