We have very similar plants Verdun :blue thumb: your Lobelia Tupa seems to of got big quick thought it were a recent / last year purchase unless I am mistaken, took mine a good 3 years from 9cm pot to bulk up well ( can just see it in last pic behind helenium ) you've planted it with H. Lime light another plant I've got ;) I've planted mine next to Phlox White admiral, maybe similar planting ideas as well :).

Indeed Perki, I think it was you who suggested Tupa on the forum. I have a few perennial lobelias here all about to flower. :)
Tupa is pretty big actually.....I think it’s going to add another 30 cm or more yet. I think I got it as a half litre plant in September so it likes that spot. A very long growing season here too remember.......it made a fair bit of growth over the winter and was noticeably bigger as early as March
I love LimeLight.......it lights up the whole planting when it turns white, as it’s doing now.
I have a dwarf paniculata, Bombshell, too that is really cute.....very late this year :noidea:

@Verdun Much better than the species too, as far as I'm concerned. No support required and looks nicer in a container IMO!

Regarding the heliotropes I grow mine from cuttings every year or overwinter plants from the perennial varieties incl Chatsworth. Far superior scent than the annual Marine :)
I also grow a couple of white varieties with a slightly different perfume....again perennials:)

A group of pennisetum Rubrum...Eaton Canyon (?)....just starting to flower. They will make an increasingly floriferous impact through to October

6C719472-DAC8-4BFA-962C-7BAC0FEA2389.jpeg These are sunpatiens that flowered all last summer, survived the winter and have flowered again since June I guess.
The troughs I made several years ago, maybe 20 years ago. I made several, inspired by the great Geoff Hamilton
So, on two counts I am pleased with this offering

Blackberries already? Oh dear, makes it feel like autumn. Too soon! Love your hostas @Verdun - how have you kept the leaves from being turned into lace? @pete see what you mean about the brachychiton flowers - probably much more dramatic if they smothered the bush.
