Lagerstroemia is only just starting to bud up in my garden.
Like the plumeria, I've ordered some seeds, going to have another go maybe I can control the RSM better now.

I chopped (or lobbed??) one of the main stems this year and did cuttings. In the good old days, I'd have been happy to send you them :noidea: I've got Acnistus planted everywhere now  It won't be long before the suspense is over and they flower!

I'm amazed at how well some plants have kept going in my London garden, despite the long drought and great heat - and me not doing that much watering. There are gaps now where plants have gone over early of course, but let's focus on the positives. Self-seeded nicotiana:

The flowers on this St Swithun rose (a David Austin one) are actually better this year than I ever recall them being - normally they are very prone to water damage, ironic as St Swithun is a sort of patron saint of rain:

Kniphofia Lemon popsicle also likes the dry weather:

I've just popped down the garden to pick some plums. The dozens of wasps buzzing around me weren't interested in me as there was plenty for all. I left the over ripe ones for them. :) They're ripening very quickly in this weather.

I picked half a bowl yesterday and reckon another bowl this size each day until around Monday. After that I may be fighting the wasps.

They look golden when rinsed and wiped so I di that with the one on top.
