Considering the fact that many plants didn't grow properly this year, probably due to age and weather, I still have the one or other nice corner.

I don't see that many butterflies and bees around, but maybe I'm out at the wrong time respectively, they are camera shy.
Just managed to take a picture of the white one.

This one is at the corner of the new path and will be moved into the new bed in winter.

Some photos of OH's garden in Norfolk. I do the flower borders, he does the lawns and shrub pruning.

Lilium henryi (I think). Was about 3ft tall in mum's garden on nearly pure sand. Now 5-6ft and multiplying like mad.

Hope they do well for you :)

I grow lots of berries so June-Sept I'm harvesting something daily.
Blackcurrants are the first and take the longest to pick invariably in the blazing sun, but I do really like them.
                  Now it's blackberries and blueberries.
This is what I picked just now - The blackberries (1.1Kg) were just from one half of the canes, I'll pick the rest later-
                  IMG_20240720_203758.jpg

Then comes Autumn raspberries - I usually get 6-7Kg from them.
So by the end of summer half of one 6ft freezer just has frozen berries (~25Kg), but I'll get through most of them before next season - I have about 75g/day berries with my morning porridge.
But a special treat are little blackcurrant tartlets with a frangipane topping - they are a bit too moreish.

And from another angle ... with a slightly less lively colour blend, against the soft tone of a Caryopteris, with a pale pink Fuchsia Flashlight as backdrop. Plus, the bees have been going nuts on my tall Veronicas. The flowers are so tiny, you would think it not worth the bother, but obviously they know better! IMG_1192.jpeg IMG_1191.jpeg

Thalictrum delavayi - a gorgeous delicate plant but difficult to do it justice from distance with a photograph.
