Crocosmia 'Lucifer' quite prominent in the front garden at the moment.

Some recent photos of plants that are still looking good. I might have to water the garden soon, it all looks very dry.

I tidied up the garden a little bit over the weekend, just enough to leave enough for wildlife including slugs and snails, but the pictures should also look nice at the same time.

The Polemonium flowers a second time.

              20240728ourgarden_01.jpg

When I lifted the Wild Marjoram, I discovered this Campanula but don't ask me for the name. Could be the Takion Blue that I bought last year.

              20240728ourgarden_02.jpg

Campanula but a "pers. alba" got again new flowers.

              20240728ourgarden_03.jpg

I grew them from seeds: Gaura Bride.

              20240728ourgarden_04.jpg

Helenium Helena Red is now flowering.

              20240728ourgarden_05.jpg

I was siting on this bench in the shade this morning in between the work.

              20240728ourgarden_06.jpg

Finally, the butterflies have discovered the Verbena.

It’s papaver somniferum yellow peony where the yellow comes from who knows because it’s white and on the seed packet too.

The lilies on my patio - Stargazer and Montezuma. I previously posted the Stargazer as Montezuma but realised my mistake when the latter opened ..

Calamagrostis Karl Foerster, what remains of the flowers after weeks of wind and rain.

Every year I eagerly await Helianthus 'Miss Mellish' coming into flower. A small chunk was kindly dug up for me from Sheffield Botanical Gardens by one of their gardeners. However I hadn't quite anticipated just how much of a thug it would be. But I still love it's numerous bright 4 inch flowers.
