Funny how we're all different @ViewAhead - I really dislike that combo! It's the peachy/yellow colour I don't care for. I don't like peach at all - in anything...apart from a peach...

There should be a white clem on that screen [which was lovely last year] but that was another casualty of 'slugmageddon' this year.

The wee green roof on the bird feeder needs a tidy up...

The dark lilies being photo bombed by the Centranthus. The lilies have coped with the slugs and lily beetles quite well in that site, but not so well in others.

 

A colour combo I can't be doing with is deep pink and orange/yellow. Anything else I am pretty OK with.

 

I like a burst of strong colour, so spring tulips in bright clashing colours are always welcome here, due to our frequent grey skies. That goes for this time of year too @ViewAhead

We're all different aren't we? That's what makes our gardens interesting though.
There's quite a few things I dislike in terms of colours in my garden - peely wally pinks and blues are the main ones, but most people love those.

 

I like all colour combinations in a garden, I don't think something with a forced colour scheme looks nice at all, it's unnatural.
But then gardens are unnatural anyway aren't they ... but they can have a natural feel and look, and I find a forced colour scheme makes a garden look stiff and too controlled.

But that's just me, I can accept other people are different, it's down to personal choice, and that's what makes us human

 

Indeed @Michael Hewett - it's what makes the world go round, and yes- all gardens are fake, no matter how natural we try to make them.

 

I vote for purple and red together!

 

I don't like wishy washy colours either (translation of @fairygirl's peely wally ), they have to be bold! My favourites are orange, purple and lime green for flowers and all greens for foliage apart from those small bluish grasses (should be banned!), plus contrasting bronze foliage.

Some of my dahlias are flowering but others seem quite slow to get going. The first dahlia I ever bought was Jill, at that time knowing very little about dahlias. It’s turned out to be a really good dahlia, always the first to flower, doesn’t get too affected by slugs etc and every flower is different. Here’s a few from the same large tuber.


I’ve never had a flower like this before from Jill but it’s a beautiful specimen.
