Gorgeous Dalias Bobj,:thumb: I keep going for the cheapo's from the pound shop and have to fight the slugs for them to flower, and when they do they never look like their pictures. There again you get what you pay for, but i live in hope.:D 02

That canna is a beautiful colour, Sis, as are your peach-coloured dahlias, Bob.

You are lucky with your dahlias, Bob, if I remember correctly, they were a show last year too.

Thank you, Sis .... it's my favourite. Here is a pic of it last evening ....

..... and this morning in the sunshine ....

They open so quickly here but at least last a little bit longer than my beautiful double Hibiscus ....

These blooms opened yesterday and they are gone this morning! Fortunately there are lots of buds all the time on it.

Oh, at first I thought it was a candy-striped one :o, Sis, but it is the sun doing a Fata Morgana. Just lovely.

Pity about the hibiscus, but as you say, plenty of buds on it.

Do you know what variety of Canna it is Lol?

Here are my Oleanders, not exactly competing with yours! They are outside all year round so they take a while to get going, the pink one behind has a lot of buds at the back, should flower now till sept/oct.
They are both singles as I find doubles flower poorly in our climate.:(

Albizia Chocolate Soldier first and probably only flower, foliage is still green and not bronze.

    Lily Salmon Star, Stargazer cultivar.

Flowers on the albizia strongy, well done.

Mine have buds, but I'm not expecting that much of them.
I find they drop off very easily, before reaching a certain stage.

Pete, how is this different than the A julibrissin, which I'm doing as a bonsai?

Aha, just saw in my Madeira/Portugal book ... it's another name for an A distachya ... not as nice in my opinion .... I like the pink fluffy flowers. :)

Thats OK if you can get the flowers, Julibrissin, is not that free flowering here.
I think this grows quicker and has better foliage.
    Not as hardy though.:)
