The allium I think is A. sphaerocephalun. Believe it or not it is easily available in autumn.

Kedi-Gato - I meant the spikey one between the anemone and hollyhock. It is similar to WOO's pink one.

The sunflower family is just about all out now - I'll take a picture tomorrow if the rain stops as they look so funny.

Beautiful flowers everyone - I'm off to see Palustris's in a minute.

    Happy gardening [IMG]

    Oh, this one -

I'm not really sure kryssy, either an Echinicia (spelling??), that is what Woo has, or an Arnica.

Hallo out there, who can tell us the proper name of this flower please?

Hey, K-G, I hope it is either of those as they are both great homeopathic remedies. [IMG]

Thank you K.G. and everyone. Have looked at the links and passed them on to my friend. Sorry they were not the herbs though.

Those Arum Lilies are stunning. Finished here now as they bloom earlier than UK - I don't have any but my neighbours do. I don't know why they say they represent death/funerals. They are beautiful and don't deserve their morbid connection.

Did you know that we cannot give anyone Chrysanthemums here? In France, and some other European countries I believe, Chrysanths are the plant of death. Strange, but true. The shops are flooded with them at end of November for all saints day on the 30th. Everyone visits the graveyards and thinks only of the dead. Unfortuntely, it happens to be our wedding anniversay too - now there's an omen [IMG]

Everyones pics are stunning.I just love to scroll through this thread seeing everything come into season.
I would love to comment on everyones individually but it would mean scrolling back continuously as i have difficulty with pronouncing some of the specimens let alone spelling.(eyes a bit fick)
Kedi,i`ve no idea about the spirrea. At first i thought someone must have put the wrong plant in the box.(it was bought from the pound shop as a twig and the print was foreign)I only bought it cos i recognised the word spirrea.-but now i feel i had a good buy.

Your arum lily is the buisness roders.I`ve often wondered it`s name.I do have it - but in plastic form.(also from the pound shop) :D
