    Kathy and mef75,
Yes I agree the pink daisy is osteospermum, but as far as I know the orange floered one has always been gazania.
They are both South Arican daisies that like the same conditions, but have a slightly different form of growth, the osteo. grows like a very small shrub whereas the gazania is more clump forming.

That was frightening reading Walnut, thanks for passing it along. Perhaps you should put it up as a topic for itself so that everyone gets to read it.

It`s lovely rosa.I just wish clematis flowered a bit longer.Although it still seems to be growing, the plant on left side of my arch has already flowered and finished.

    Lovely photos everyone.

walnut, as Sis said, perhaps you should put up the article on Lillies elsewhere (?) for all to see. How frightening and I'm so pleased I can't grow them here, especially with my demented Cal who would no doubt investigate them immediately!

We have had many things (linen and clothes) ruined with the pollen from day lillies. I believe it was roders who told me that mrs roders always cuts the stamens off lillies because Lucy sits next to them on the windowsill ... I think she is a very clever lady perhaps without knowing the horrific implications.

Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
