    I'll see what I can do Nick, nor sure if seeds will come true with 3 others nearby (single and double pink and a double yellow), that one survived the winter, there's an outside chance it might be possible to divide, any comments from the experts?

    Another one of your lovely poppies high kype and your tagetes are pretty too.

    Mike, your hollyhocks have turned me green! Why can't we grow such beauties?
    Thanks for your reminder. We are over Bad Zwischenahn way on Thursday (our dentist is there) so must now just talk Hubby into going to that garden center so I can get a candy-striped one. Keep your fingers crossed along with me please!

    Dutch Irises - I planted about 8 bulbs and only 3 came up :( But how amazing are they? I think one is double headed too.

    My Dahlia's - have managed to murder a few slugs that I have found lurking underneath the leaves etc!

    dorsetmike i have tried to grow hollyhocks with no luck can you get a plant or is it seed

    Plants from Homebase and other local garden centres, I will be trying to save some seed this time.
