You guys grow things I can't and vice versa ... e a vida! Inula, Waco, don't know it .. will have to look it up but very delicate looking.

Strongy, my Trout Begonia is in a Bristol sink in a "pergola" shady spot by the shed, only evening sun when this photo was taken last night I've never had them bloom like this before, in 30 plus years of growing them! I'm just amazed beyond words. Admittedly, in the winter I think I've lost it but it just springs back with gusto! :D

Pete, like your Bougie, not a colour I have funnily enough (out of seven now!) and there's SO many more !!! :D :D

strongy,is this one likely to survive outside, or is it the type more suited to a greenhouse all year?

Pete, from your pic it looks like one that would be ok outside for the summer/autumn but beyond that it might be risky, alight frost or two may be tolerated but I wouldn't want to risk losing it. The hardiest is the glossy leaved purple one. The pink one I have now will be cut back and over wintered in a frost free polytunnel, it's too soft to chance it outside. [IMG]

Also loved the Inula Waco - is it a particular variety and what sort of height does it get to?
I'm still struggling to get my photos onto the screen - have tried hard with the 'Photobucket' but not getting anywhere.......

Waco, that Inula is great, very spidery!
Strongylodon, my Stargazers are out early too this year, also the white one, but smaller flowers than usual. Must be the heat!

Here's 2 more fuchsias- this time the smallest ones:
La Campanella and a white one I don't know the name of.

Unfortunately the leaves are small too, so cant use them for reference but the whole flower of the white/ purple one is not much more than 1", and the white is a tiny bit bigger.

Three days later and all the stargazer lilies are out together, nice, but it means they will be over too soon(looks like they might get battered by heavy rain tomorrow).

Banana Man.. I love your yellow Rudbeckia. I have been round my garden centre to see if I could get one like yours but can only see orange ones. Does your one have any other name? Do you know where I could get one?

These cones have appeared on our spruce. I don't know if they are trying to tell us something!

When we bought the spruce we were told it was a small version and shouldn't grow more than 3 0r 4 feet. Maybe they meant 30 or 40 feet. There are eight cones and they are about 7 inches each.

    It's a lovely tree.
