WHATS LOOKING GOOD IN JULY.

That is one sad looking gunnera Rich. Mine are getting morning and evening refreshers of 1 watering can each time, just to keep them going. You have to catch them before they flop as they seem to struggle to regain their stature. :(

Most garden centres sell them in the cacti section or you can grow from seed, suprisingly easy, thats where mine came from, probably too late to start from seed this year now though.

 

Canna Sunny Delight in the evening sun

 

This is Canna Pink Futurity, well that's what I ordered, it has bronze leaves, but pink flowers?

Yep, a B&Q rescue job and growing well now, the other side is a Michelia.

Strongylodon: Particularly like that Canna Sunny Delight. Also that fern in the background, what type is it and how high does it grow?

 

Dag , the "fern" is a cycad, some refer to it as a palm and can grow big but normally in a tropical/sub tropical climate. Others on GC have better specimens than mine.
The two cannas were tubers bought in march from Jungle seeds. Sunny delight has green foliage and is a small canna growing to about 2/3ft.
