Hec - just love your Clematis!

Redstar - what are those unusual speckled flowers? They are surely not hydrangers the way they are opening.

A few taken in my garden yesterday -

Yep, Kedi-Geto, they are Hydrangea--the speckled pink and later they make it to a more solid hot pink.

I think it's Lychnis Calchedonica, aka Jerusalem Cross. Lovely plant - I have some too, currently being swamped by a triffid Feverfew.

Lovely top picture Will Ting - I like a nice mixture. Is that Anchusa - the blue at the front. I am growing some for the first time and the colour is wonderful. But difficult to convey the full glory in a photo

Hi Peter Yes I beleive it is Anchusa, The house was built 3 years ago and the plants just 2 years ago so its all very new. What I like about Anchusa is that it is a really 'true' blue. The only mistake I've made this year and last was not to support it, so its flopped over other plants which is a bit of a pain.

Anchusa is an amazing true blue, and whilst your picture above is lovely, it doesn't do justice to the colour. I have tried loads of times to photograph mine - but it doesn't really work.
