    Cumberland ... did you mean Mimulus (the Monkey Flower) as opposed to Mimosa? .... could it be that Claire?

    It very much could be. I got a load of seeds off a neighbour of mine, just sowed them direct as I didn't have much hope for them ( or the room). They are quite a lovely surprise-not quite a match for the orange of the californian poppies but close.

    Finally, got a gathering of pictures. So much rain and gray skies hard to photograph anything decent.

    Love that pretty pink shrub above. but again, not hardy enough for my space.

    Red, love the garden, the hostas are fantastic. :gnthb:
    The pink Bottlebrush can take -7/8c without any serious damage.

    Thank you Strongylodon. I plan to photo more on the next go around, have lots of them.
    I risk zone 6 as my top zone depending on the plant and placement of it.--thanks.

    Redstar, did I see your Begonia Evansii Grandis growing next to the Hostas, I presume it survives the winter ok. Mine are coming up everywhere.:)

    A couple of pics of my first blooms of the newly planted Dahlia. This one is the cream one, although I also have red and pink waiting to bloom :)

    Photos taken this morning of the same bud facing the fence, hence the dark background. Was pleased how they came out as literaly just popped out took a couple of snaps and came back in (was in my dressing gown :hehe:)

    Cant wait for the others to bloom now :) :)
