    Lovely colours and textures everyone.

Have just been outside to catch a few shots of the last day of June.

The Jacarandas have just about finished blooming ... this year it's been for about two months. The first picture is near the entry gates (and the tree behind it is my humongous almond tree) and the second on the path to the kitchen (which I look at from my computer) ....

A peach Canna just about finished, a yellow one starting (the rose coloured is in the middle with a flower stem coming up) backed by an uncommon shrub Bougainvillea ..

My bonsai triple Bougainvillea littered with Jacaranda petals ...

The Brugmansia opening it's first two buds (the flowers will be pink) ...

And one of my two double Oleanders ...

Like the double Oleander Vicky:gnthb:, pity they don't flower well outside here, so I have to stick to singles.

So many lovely pictures. And so exotic, especially Strongy and Victoria.

Would it be any good trying to grow Bougainvillea over here? and would it overwinter if kept frost free?

If you have a south facing wall its not that difficult Peter.

I've overwintered a pot grown one for two of the coldest winters in 20yrs under a blanket near the house wall.
They start slow and maybe its a bit cooler up there where you are, but its worth a try.
Flowering might be late but it goes on well into september and october once it starts.

    Nothing ventured nothing gained.
I'm sure if anyone can get it to flower in Yorkshire, you can.
