    Great photos everyone :dbgrtmb:

Peter, I think we have lost our Impatiens niamniamensis. We overwinter it in the greenhouse and it has survived many years. I'll have to have a search in the greenhouse to see whether it is still alive

Melinda, you can prune cherries and plums when they have finished fruiting .

Simbad, your picture has reminded me to look for our sisyrichiums as well.

    These have opened today:-

lychnis - a bit droopy from the heat
    [IMG]

Dog rose - wonderful scent in the evenings

    about to open

    first of the lilies
    [IMG]

the red peonies have been open for ages but this is the first of the white ones
    [IMG]

the flowers of this verbascum are just opening and look good close-up
    [IMG]

this alstromeria has just opened today as well

I love the common poppies as well

A tall pot with a large hanging basket resting in it.

this verbena is a hanging basket variety in that basket
      [IMG]

these baskets are doing well for being in total shade - but we tend to forget to water them

This basket has been taken down to be renovated
      [IMG]

The phytolacca is still growing and has passed the 6ft mark
      [IMG]

the flowers will fill out until they are nearly sweet corn size
      [IMG]

phlomis russelliana samia are also suffering from lack of water with the leaves starting to droop and the whole plant stunted - but it still looks good
      [IMG]

this phlomis is in an area that gets watered a bit and is doing much better
      [IMG]

this is phlomis fruiticosa and the plant is quite woody as it is about 30 years old

      dianthus watfield gem

the aruncus silvestris and bronze fennel work well together. They still have more height to gain

Stunning as always Shiney. I've put my garden up in Algarvean Daze today but I think this is special for the June thread ... my lovely Agapanthus from roders which is blooming for the second year now ... (it is in the shade) ...

Shiney - I bought a hosta big daddy last week because it was the biggest plant I could get for under a fiver and I had been inspired by people on here mentioning hostas. the flowers are just starting to open today and now I have seen yours there I am quite excited. I am sure it won't survive slugs and snails though as it is below a big bay tree at the bottom of the garden but it looks great at the moment with its huge leaves

my dahlietta has come out today too, and some of my sweetpeas

What's looking nice in June... my foxgloves - every year I look forward to it... slightly better show last year but still lovely.

And my sunny bed is pretty if very green and leafy... note dreaded seesaw! :heehee:

Melinda - I love passion flowers but I seem to keep killing them off! My third attempt is crawling up the back wall so fingers crossed! The last 2 were in tubs and chafer grubs got them... The flowers are so exquisite.

                    WK :)
